NBN Co's Wholesale Broadband Agreement Public Consultation Opens

NBN Co has commenced public consultation process on its Wholesale Broadband Agreement. The Wholesale Broadband Agreement contains the terms and conditions NBN Co is proposing to use for the supply of its products and services to the market.

This Paper discusses the key design parameters of the Agreement which deliver efficient and effective contractual arrangements. These design parameters include:

• Non-discrimination;
• Transparency; and
• Consultation.

The Paper goes on to lay out a number of key contractual commitments set out in the Agreement. NBN Co seeks comments on how we can best deliver on these commitments. This includes discussion on how NBN Co will ensure:

• an open Product Development Forum to facilitate industry input to NBN Co's product pipeline;
• a commitment to contracting and consultation which is appropriate across NBN Co's customer base; and
• an approach to dispute resolution that recognises other customers' interests when resolving a dispute between NBN Co and a particular customer.
