Onboarding process
Our onboarding process has been designed to be a seamless procedure for
eligible Service Providers to enable connection to the NBN for their
customers.
The NBN Co onboarding process involves five main steps:
Step 1
A qualification program to provide technical and operational information on how to connect to the NBN;Step 2
The execution of a Wholesale Broadband Agreement between the Service Provider and NBN Co;Step 3
NBN Co will work co-operatively with the Service Provider on that Service Provider's solution definition. This activity will likely involve extensive discussions on product feature mapping and process integration;Step 4
The successful completion of NBN Co's Interoperability Certification Testing; andStep 5
The successful completion of NBN Co's Business Readiness Testing. To get started, contact our Account team at
Step 1
During the qualification phase, NBN Co will assist prospective Service Providers in understanding the NBN Co Fibre Access Service and how it would meet their business needs. The qualification process will then go on to provide detailed technical and operational documentation, procedures and support to Service Providers to assist with their internal product integration before moving into the Interoperability Certification Testing program.
Step 2
The Wholesale Broadband Agreement sets out the terms and conditions of access and supply of products over the NBN. A Service Provider must execute a Wholesale Broadband Agreement before it can commence its interoperability certification and business readiness testing.
Step 3
Once the Wholesale Broadband Agreement is executed, we will work with the new service provider to model their products onto the NBN Co solution set. This activity will include discussions on product feature mapping and process integration. This step will enable the Service Provider to fully understand their interactions with NBN Co, and will streamline the product development and integration steps that the Service Provider will need to undertake.
Step 4
Before a Service Provider can connect to the NBN and provide services, it they must undertake a number of interoperability certification tests and business process acceptance activities. The Access Seeker Interoperability Certification Test Program forms part of the Access Seeker Accreditation Program which enables Service Providers to certify to connect to the NBN and to provide services to their customers. Below outlines the Interoperability Certification Program Timeline.
Step 5
NBN Co will work together with service providers to provision test services on the live network and complete any product or technology based testing to ensure that the services delivered meet the requirements as set out by the Service Provider's defined solution.
